Management of the GODAN Foundation recently paid a working visit to Bukunor and Oterkpolu schools in the Yilo Krobo Municipality to introduce the Ghana Reading Icon, a flagship program designed to promote reading culture and literacy among basic school learners. The visit formed part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen reading habits among young learners and prepare them for future academic and career success.

During the engagement, representatives of the foundation met with school authorities and teachers to explain the objectives of the Ghana Reading Icon initiative. The program seeks to encourage students to develop strong reading skills, critical thinking abilities, and confidence through structured reading activities, mentorship, and literacy. School leaders welcomed the initiative and expressed appreciation for the foundation’s commitment to improving literacy in their communities.

The GODAN Foundation team reiterated its commitment to supporting schools through programs such as Ghana Reading Icon, Read for Career, and One Child One Device, all aimed at empowering young people with the skills they need to thrive in the modern world.
