The Ghana Education Service has signed a memorandum of understanding formally adopting our Year 4 reading assessment framework as a reference standard for participating districts.
The framework — decoding, fluency, comprehension, and retention, scored on a common rubric — has been used internally across our partner schools since 2023. Formal GES adoption means it can now be referenced in official curriculum guidance, not just used informally by schools already working with us.
Practically, this should make it easier for non-partner schools to adopt the same assessment approach without going through us first, which has always been the point.
